The Littenweiler Crocos

Winter Season 2003/2004

Hi everyone and welcome to tonight's report on the upcoming 2003/2004 winter season with a new Blood Bowl league starting for the Freiburg Cup! This exciting league will start on Monday, so tonight we are going to take a look on one of the orc teams ready to start this season.

The Littenweiler Crocos have earned themselves a respectable casualty record last season, with an average of two per game. The most spectacular of this team's last season's games was probably against the Gunzelburg Giants, the leagues playoff-making Halfling team. Not only did the Crocos a great job at wrestling down the Giants' treemen, they also greatly decimated the Giants rooster, so that they were easy prey for the Hardcore Stealers in the first playoff game.

That's just what the crowd wants to see, so lets take a look at what Coach Burnett's team looks like this season, when the Crocos will look to break last seasons team record of thirteen casualties in seven games.

So let's take a closer look at the team:

Coaching the Crocos this season is again Headcoach James "Sunny" Burnett. He said that focus was one area where they made a lot of improvement. He even busted last season's spectacular cheerleader squad to make sure his players make a better job concentrating on the game.

In the backfield directing the offensive play of the team is again Nash "Bubba" Johnson, a spectacular passer, who scored several completions last year along with one MVP award.

Evan "Tempo" Cortez will be his go-to-guy once again, after he scored two touchdowns last season. He is also a decent blocker, and Coach Burnett promised we will see more of his skill this season.

One of the fasted guys on the field is Nick "Sprint" Gammon. He is also last season's top scorer when it comes to casualties, with a total of four on his count alone, not to mention assists. That he also scored a touchdown and an MVP award makes him one of the most promising players of this team.

Martin "Jaws" Costillo is starting again, after having some problems with injuries last season. The coaching staff has assured us that he has fully recovered from his hand injury, so we will probably see much more from Martin in the upcoming games.

Another player who had only a mediocre season is Ricardo "Horns" Tubbs, who struggled hard against the Norsemen of the Hardcore Stealers. This black orc will have to improve this season to show that he doesn't play in the "blocker" position for nothing.

Fans are getting excited already as Cress "Ripper" Williams will play for the Crocos again this season. He is definitely the crowds most loved player, earning two MVPs last season alone. This black orc blocker did a great job putting up with the Giants' treemen as well as the Stealers' ogre. So get prepared to see some tough action when this player heads on the field.

In the starting set up for the line are Larry "Grabs" Zito, John "Boom" Diehl, Joe "Big Bite" Dominguez, Harvey "Face" Leek, Stan "Paws" Switek and of course Zappa Jr. This is a really tough line to face. Last season most of these players accounted for at least one casualty. John Diehl outran even Zappa Jr. when he got an overall total of three, showing the Skaven his "Boom" in the Crocos overtime win against a Skaven Team that was outnumbered two to one at the end of the game.

So be prepared for a tough and rough season with this team, especially as they still have some good players in their scout team, ready and eager to play. So stay tuned for more news on this exciting team!
